Details
Mnuway Homestay lies on the north coast of Waigeo, about eight kilometres east Kabare.
Four private beach bungalows occupy an eastward facing cove opposite Pulau Boni. A freshwater stream emerges from the wildlife-rich jungle behind the homestay. Low tide reveals a wide, sandy beach.
All bungalows sleep two on mattresses on the floor. Sheets, pillows blanket and mosquito nets are provided. Bungalow verandahs are equipped with table and chair settings.
Meals are served in Mnuway Homestay’s sand-floored dining room. Tea and coffee making supplies and drinking water are always freely available to guests there.
Guests share a 2 room bathroom building. One room has dip mandi (Bucket and ladle) bathing. The other houses a western-style toilet.
Electricity is supplied from generator and is available between sunset and about midnight.
Mnuway Homestay receives a strong 4G signal which supports a data connection if you have the right Telkomsel plan.
The nearest village is about a five minute boat ride away. Only basic supplies can be purchased in village shops. It would be best to bring all the supplies you consider essential with you.
Please do take any inorganic trash you create away with you when you leave, because there is no safe waste management infrastructure in Raja Ampat.
Very little English is spoken at Mnuway Homestay. Do bring a translation app or phrasebook.
